Mixed content checker
Mixed content checker flags HTTP references found on HTTPS pages. Review resources, links, and form actions before testing which ones affect browser loading.
Mixed content checker: what this tool checks
Mixed content checker scans selected HTML attributes on an HTTPS page and lists references beginning with http://. It can help locate older image paths, script sources, linked stylesheets, media references, or form destinations after moving a website to HTTPS. The report offers a starting point for cleanup.
How to use it
- Submit the full HTTPS address of the page you want to inspect.
- Review each reported URL and the element or attribute associated with it.
- Determine how the reference is used, then inspect actual browser behavior before changing the source or delivery settings.
Understanding your results
This implementation uses a broad definition: it also reports ordinary HTTP anchor destinations and form actions. Those entries do not all behave like insecure subresources. CSS imports, script-created requests, and dynamically inserted content can be outside the scan. A zero count is not a complete browser security assessment.
Frequently asked questions
Does every listed reference get blocked by a browser?
No. A navigation link, image, script, and form action have different contexts. The list identifies HTTP references; it does not simulate browser blocking or automatic upgrade behavior.
Will checking an HTTP page find the same issues?
No. The scan is designed to identify HTTP references from an HTTPS document. Start with the secure version of the page that visitors are intended to use.
