HTTP/2 Checker

HTTP/2 Checker inspects the HTTP version negotiated for a page request. Review protocol support and understand why results may differ from a browser connection.

What is HTTP/2 Checker?

HTTP/2 Checker inspects the protocol negotiated during a request to a webpage. It helps you investigate whether the tested connection used HTTP/2, which is separate from checking that the page exists or that its certificate is valid. Use it when reviewing server or CDN configuration.

How to use this tool

Enter the HTTPS URL you want to test, then submit the checker. Review the enabled or disabled result for that request. Compare the same exact hostname after a hosting change, and confirm that the page is reachable before drawing conclusions about protocol support.

Understanding the results

The tool reads the HTTP version reported by its request library. Protocol negotiation depends on both the server and the requesting client. A result from this service can therefore differ from your browser's network panel. It does not measure the speed benefit of a protocol, inspect all subresources, or certify that every endpoint on the domain is configured identically.

Frequently asked questions

Does a disabled result mean the website is offline?

No. A server can return a page using another supported HTTP version. Check availability and the response status separately if the page cannot be loaded.

Does this verify HTTP/3 too?

No. This checker specifically reports whether the request library identifies HTTP/2 for the tested connection. Use an appropriate protocol inspection method for separate HTTP/3 validation.
